Breakfast for fathers day with the family, an excellent way to start a Sunday! Very rarely do I partake in two affogatos in one day, but two before 10am..... maybe my addiction is becoming a problem, my first affo was at 4.30am in Auckland?

I have eaten breakfast at The Java Lounge on many occasions but this was the first time I had ordered their affogato. Of course I don't drink coffee without vanilla ice cream present but I find the Java Lounge coffee too sharp for an affogato. Today however I was prepared to give it a go.

The affogato was ok but they did not get the mixing rations to my taste, the coffee was too sharp and the icecream not the right consistency. Not bad but I rated it 2.9 out of 5. Ok for a cafe affogato but I would not rusk back for another. I will however return for the great and always consistent bacon and eggs breakfast!
